DatapluS
Scholarly Communication - SURFshare Tenders
Status: Current
Objective
The aim of the DatapluS project is to construct two subject portals with enhanced publications based on survey data: one portal for publications based on data from the European Values Study (EVS) and one for publications based on data from the Dutch Parliamentary Electoral Studies (NKO). This project continues on from the Together in Parts [Samen in Delen] project but has the specific aim of creating operational subject portals that can be used by researchers belonging to these two large research groups. European Value Study -EVS- (Tilburg University) and 'Nationaal Kiezersonderzoek' -NKO- (University of Twente) will be responsible for providing content for the subject portals.
The publications will be enriched with the syntax codes for the constructs used and with links to the data and variables stored in the GESIS and DANS data archives. An electronic data submission form will be created, making it a simple matter for researchers to upload their enhanced publication. This EP editor will be used during the project to add the enrichments to the publications, but it will also play an important role in the continuation of the subject portals after the end of the project. We will collaborate with DANS in order to enhance publications with links to the variables that have been used and that are stored in the archives.
