The Scientific Technical Council (WTR) is an independent council installed by the board of the SURF. The twelve members of the WTR consist of acknowledged authorities from different academic fields, such as research, education and management. Since all members have an affiliation with higher education and research, they bring with them a wealth of experience on the organisation and culture in this domain. This combination of experience and expertise makes the WTR a unique council for policy makers seeking help to improve the quality of their institution.
