Focus Areas:
Over the past years SURFfoundation has invested greatly in projects, products and the development of expert knowledge in the field of e-Learning in higher education. These pages show to what areas the e-Learning activities expand.
The collaboration between institutions that is taking shape within SURFfoundation has certainly contributed to the results. Two factors are essential: on the one hand, SURF promotes and maintains human networks, which achieve faster and smoother sharing of knowledge; and on the other hand, SURFfoundation monitors and points out current issues that arise in higher education. This role has clearly shown that higher education has an urgent need for initiatives that increase the national expertise and promote professionalisation.
SURFfoundation will combine the professionalisation activities with the networking and monitoring activities in the Kennis- en Expertisecentrum (Knowledge and Expertise Centre) from 2007.
